Happy (Belated) Memorial Day! On May 25, my sister and I went to Bopomofo because they were offering free boba! We love a promotion, and Bopo occasionally does free boba days. I think the last one they actually ran out, so we tried going earlier in the day to guarantee our free boba. Luckily, they did!
I ordered the Tea Latte. (Isn’t technically all the milk teas tea lattes?) Specifically, this was a seasonal item though, and by default comes with camellia oolong tea. However, you can choose a different tea to fo with the vanilla cold foam, the actual main star of the drink. I went for the Jasmine tea. No no-ice option for this drink, and it’s one size only. Oh well, at least boba was free. I figured the cold foam was already sweetened, so I opted for the tea base to be unsweetened.
Vanilla cold foam was very yummy! Airy, and the flavor was just right, not too strong and overpowering, but also can still taste the different flavor from the foam. The jasmine tea was perfectly refreshing, and I really liked this foam because it wasn’t salty or cheesy like the typical foams. It’s a great addition to any jasmine tea, and I like that getting it unsweetened makes the jasmine flavor stand out more. The free boba was great quality too!
