Honey Lemon – TP Tea

On May 26th, my sister and I went to TP Tea! (My summer is quite uneventful, and going to boba is usually the most eventful thing I’ll do. Not much context needed)

We went around 4pm in the afternoon, so I decided to find a low caffeine drink on the menu. The honey lemon sounded pretty tasty, so I went for that. It’s described as a “non-caffeinated ice blended drink with Taiwan’s top graded honey. The best drink to go if you want a non-caffeinated refreshment”. Perfect for my situation right? I asked for no ice, but I got crushed ice.

The drink wasn’t too lemony, and tasted like a really refreshing lemonade. It didn’t purely taste like lemon, and my theory is that maybe it was the honey they used. Another theory was maybe they used another citrus, like yuzu (which they use in other drinks, and I’m not a huge fan of), since the cover image for the drink had a non-yellow citrus on it. Boba was good, but small as usual, and unfortunately, the cube pearl has dissappeared from TP Tea’s menu…

Low-key, I feel like I should have gotten the taro milk. Lemonade from a boba shop feels like a bit of a waste…
