On January 21, I hung out with a friend at Irvine Spectrum! We had a chill hangout, grabbing lunch together, walking around and doing some window and real shopping, before parting ways. Later that day, I drove to the new Omomo in Tustin to get a drink!
In their new Tustin exclusive Magnolia promotion series, is a drink called a Magnolia matcha. It’s like the Uji Matcha in that it blends Magnolia tea with a matcha latte, but also adds a matcha cream to the top. Omomo doesn’t usually offer a matcha foam, and I was intrigued at how the change of tea would affect the drink.
I was pleasantly surprised! This drink works much better than the Uji, as the Magnolia flavor is more subtle and blends in better with the matcha flavor. Like the Uji, it still mostly tastes of matcha, but no bitter Jasmine aftertaste, which is my biggest complaint with it. Drink is not too creamy or thick, and the foam is good, very fluffy matcha-flavored and not too sweet. Boba was good, as usual!
