Snow Blossom Jasmine Milk Tea – Jam Jam Tea Lab

January 19 was a pretty busy day: I ran some errands with my parents, tried a new local bakery, got boba with my sister, and then dropped her off at school for the spring semester. Boba of choice was from Jam Jam, because we haven’t been for a while. Mostly because my sister usually gets Jasmine, and for some reason, Jam Jam had been missing it from their menu. Ironically, we check their menu, and they have a new Snow Blossom Jasmine. Just to rub it in, it seemed their Buy One Get One Free offer for the new Snow Blossom Jasmine ended the week before. Make sure you follow them on Instagram (says the person who doesn’t have one)!

Naturally, I went with this one. What makes this different than a normal Jasmine? They describe it as “a highly fragrant jasmine green tea”. Unfortunately, I never got a chance to try their “normal” Jasmine before they took it off the menu, so I have no point of comparison. The house milk question strikes again: here they have a house milk, but fresh milk costs extra. I went with fresh because my mom encourages it.

As they described, it has a vey good fragrant jasmine flavor. The drink is not as creamy as I remember from Jam Jam, but this could be a result of the fresh milk adjustment. I’ve been getting 25% sweet from places, but I do think it could use a little more sugar…Overall it was a good drink though: no creaminess, and mostly tea flavor. Boba was perfectly chewy, but the taste was one the burnt sugar flavor side.
