On May 28, I met up with a friend at Bopomofo! I’ve known him since my time from Japan, but we lived so far apart in Japan we never physically met. I knew we were both from Orange County, and since we both came back to America the summer before, we finally met in person! He wanted to get boba somewhere with food, so Bopomofo it is.
I got the basic matcha latte off the menu. Bopomofo has so many flavored matchas, but I never tried their normal one. It’s a little weird how this one and the guava one allow no ice, but the other matcha options don’t…
It’s a very good, classic matcha latte. Matcha flavor is normal, but I suppose I am used to good quality matcha as my normal. Highly recommend, and I don’t think it needs any sweetener at all. Boba was good as usual, and I’d totally get it regularly (if it wasn’t $7-8…).
We love Bopomofo, but I ordered two milk teas for my mom and sister, and neither of them had milk in them…
