Bobo Milk Tea – HeyTea

This morning I had a dentist appointment, and as we passed the kind-of new HeyTea (which replaced the local Yi Fang, RiP), I noticed it didn’t have the usual line it always has. Hoping it wouldn’t be as bad after my appointment, we came back, and though they were people, I had time to wait. Turns out, the first time you sign up on the app you get 15% off!

The menu is very interesting, with blended options, fruit teas, matcha, and some milk teas. They’re most famous for their cheese cap, but I was only looking at the milk teas. Although they have a Jasmine tea in their other drinks, only the Red Blossom Tea is used for their milk teas. I accidentally pressed the 0 calorie sweetener option instead of leaving it be for the cane sugar, but whatever. I went with minimal sugar as opposed to less, whatever that amount is.

The drink was nice, with a very strong emphasis on the aromatic herbal tea flavor. The drink texture was light and refreshing. On the ingredients section of the app. Apparently it used organic blended thick milk. The boba (or bobo here) was pretty good, a bit on the softer chewy side, but with the brown sugar it’s cooked in (for 65 minutes), it gives the drink and extra flavor and sweetness.

Question: is it always HEYTEA? Hey Tea? HeyTea? Heytea?
