Today we went out to go get Japanese food at a new place I found. I thought the food was ok, but we waited a relatively long time, so that probably gave everyone a slightly less good impression. I think they were pretty busy, and understaffed, but alas…anyway, I was searching up a boba place near the restaurant, and I came across Guiltea Cravings. So here we are.
Ok, so when I was looking up their menu, I was was going to get their Thai Tea, since they probably use real milk or half and half for that as opposed to creamer powder in their there drinks. Powder isn’t a bad thing and I get drinks made with powder all the time probably, but I feel like using real milk is a better alternative when I consciously know it? I mean, none of this is going to be necessarily healthy/healthier, but it makes me mentally feel a little better. Then I saw this place charges a full dollar for no ice and fill to the top (at least on the online order system), which is just fine I guess, but not preferable. As I was browsing the rest of the menu, I saw they had a blended Thai tea option, and since blended drinks are a better way to get out of the personal “no-ice” thing (even though to blend they have to use ice), it’s another mental alternative, ha! After doing the math, since the frappe comes in a large, it does come to be cheaper than a large no ice milk tea, so yea…
Turns out when I ordered, they ran out of boba, and I saw all the other drinks being made have boba and I’m kinda sad…so usually I would probably leave because there’s kind of no point anymore, because I’m here for the boba right?? So does this still belong on the blog???
It’s a pretty good Thai tea smoothie. I also like how it’s creamy, and not icy, like how some other Thai tea smoothies can be. I also saw my drink had some white cream on the outside, which I thought was interesting. Overall, pretty good, but still would have liked boba…k
