Honey Roasted Milk Tea – Milk Tea Lab

So sometimes recently I’ve been craving Hawaiian food, or more like the idea of Hawaiian food (more specifically, with how Hawaiian barbecue is basically fusion Asian food and they always give you a huge portion). Actually, it’s mostly because I miss the Hawaiian booth at the Farmer’s Market. The Farmer’s Market doesn’t happen anymore, probably due to Covid, and I’m hoping it’ll come back by the end of next year because it was so good..Anyway, I was trying to search up Hawaiian grill places around here, and discovered Homestyle Hawaiian, which had decent reviews. It’s also right next to Milk Tea Lab, which is a big plus, and why we’re here today…

Anyway, I was browsing the menu, and apart from their tonics or sodas I think, most of the drinks were pretty standard. I did see their recommended menu, and the honey roasted milk tea sounded like a pretty interesting combination, so I opted to try that today.

Overall, it’s a pretty good classic tasting milk tea. So when I first took a sip, it was freshly made and cold so it was very refreshing and tasted like just a classic milk tea. After having more sips, I think I actually taste the honey and roasted part of the milk tea. I can see why they made this the number 1 on their menu. As for the boba, it’s pretty ok, pretty bouncy and chewy, and has a certain taste to it too. Like artificial sweetener?

I also got a large (they have a giant!) because the prices weren’t bad, it seemed better than a regular, and so I wouldn’t eat as much of my takeout so I would have leftover for tomorrow…
