Oolong Milk Tea (#2)- 7 Leaves Cafe

7 Leaves is currently doing a promotion for the next week for one cent delivery on the app! Yes, the delivery fee is one cent, which is great to hear from a customer’s perspective because sometimes the delivery fee can really turn off from getting delivery, but I guess it’s there because you’re being lazy right? Although this does make me think of what the occasion is to be able to make the fee so low (or nonexistent). I think the app is partnered with Postmates, so I wonder if this is some special collaboration? Are people getting paid enough?

Anyway, today I got the Oolong Milk Tea because I haven’t had it in a while. 7 Leaves’s menu is small yet mighty, and basically all the drinks appeal to me. I wanted a milk tea though, so I opted for the Oolong for a deeper flavor today. (I also have one more assignment to do for the day, so the drink and the motivation will hopefully keep me up to finish :))

So, I’ve had many Oolongs since the time I’ve tried 7 Leaves’s, and 7 Leaves does have a different Oolong. The roasty flavor is still there, but it’s also paired with the creaminess of a 7 Leaves milk tea. I think after having many of their milk teas now, there’s something special about the milk that they use. There’s a certain flavor and sweetness to it that adds to the milk tea experience, but also makes them taste similar, because of the common ingredient, now that I think about it. All in all, a great Oolong milk tea. The boba today is also very nice, super chewy and a little sweet.

Oh, and the weather is finally getting chilly. About time, it’s November already! That means that it’s the perfect occasion to get drinks with no ice. I’m also hoping to cash in on some free drinks soon…
