It’s Golden Week in Japan! (Well, this year’s lineup of holidays is not very good, unlike next year’s…). This year I’m traveling to Fukuoka, to eat some local eats, visit a friend, and sightsee! This is the furthest east in Japan I’ve ever been, and probably will be, for a while. On the way to the airport, I got boba at Gong Cha! They recently released a new mango seasonal, and this one looked yummy. Specifically, with mini pearl.
I got the milk tea version of the drink, which came with mini pearl, diced mango chunks, mango sauce, and Alishan oolong tea. I added boba as usual (with my free topping coupon), but totally forgot in the moment that mini pearl came with it. Oh well. Textural variety.
The drink was yummy! It was slightly mango-y, and creamy. Probably a lot more creamy than the mango, so I’m high key thinking about getting the non milk tea version. The chunks were a bit sour, but to be expected from Gong Cha quality. The mini pearls were pretty good! Actual chewy, and not too mini.
Details: Mango Mini Pearl Milk Tea; zero sugar; less ice; pearl; from Gong Cha (Akarenga Terrace)
