One of my friend had a coupon for Dayung’s that’s expiring this weekend, so we opted to go there today. Plus, she had a meeting to attend at 6, so we got dinner and boba early, and will do most of our normal groceries later…
I know last time I had Dayung’s I said I’d probably go for the roasted oolong on my next run, and today’s a pretty good day for that too, even though I did have an oolong last week. Plus, according to their menu, their roasted oolong is supposedly one of their recommended drinks, and there’s no going wrong with a recommended drink, right? We’re getting our boba early today, and I don’t have to wake up early for work tomorrow either, so I don’t need to worry about the caffeine keeping me up again. Though, that is most likely ending this week, and my early Saturdays are starting again next week, probably. But anyway, a good day for a tea drink.
Ok, I swear I’ve gotten drinks from Dayung without ice when I asked for it before, and there was no ice. But today when the girl was preparing my drink, I saw her out a few cubes in, and I obviously asked her about it. According to her, all of their no ice drinks usually have a few cubes to keep the drink cold. I personally don’t care about it, and told her that some of my no ice drinks from them before have had no ice, but I ended up saying it was fine and left with my not-no-ice drink.
Anyway, the drink itself is pretty good, and a relatively solid roasted oolong. It’s not as super roasty as Wushiland’s, but that’s a rare level I think, and this one is nice. It kind of has a chocolate-y aftertaste to it too I think. Overall, happy with the recommendation. Boba is good as always, chewy and sweet.
