On March 16, my family went to Ajoy, one of Taiwan’s bougie-est buffet restaurants located at the top of Taipei 101 for brunch. My parents had been before and loved the experience, and wanted to take us. You can probably surmise why it’s here on the blog…as expected of Taiwan, they have boba.
Specifically, in their drink corner at the tea table, there is an option on the menu for a milk tea with boba. The drink uses a red oolong tea from Luye, Taitung county and fresh milk. I think the other plain teas can be hot, but this one is cold iced. Most of the menu isn’t customizable, but my mom did ask for a separate tea drink with the boba. The barista didn’t recommend it, but complied with the request anyway.
Drink was good (it better be, both at this fancy buffet and in Taiwan). Milk tea tasted good, good strong flavor and texture, and boba was nice and chewy. Not a lot, but hey, that’s how buffets work. Just go get another one, right?
This isn’t a food blog, but the food was very good. I was pretty satisfied with my first experience, and tried most of the food I wanted to. I did fill up by the time I had my eye on some other things…
