Happy (belated) New Year! On January 1st, my family took a family excursion out to Macu for drinks. Not too much else happened on my new year…
At this point I’ve mostly exhausted the rest of the options on the Macu milk tea menu (which isn’t that varied anyway to be honest, mostly basic options), so I went with the black tea latte. This one comes with boba, though I think it’s because black tea latte and boba is a default, and I think a plain black tea latte + boba topping comes out to the same price (might need to double check the math though). They just save you the additional work of adding a topping.
Black tea latte
The drink had a classic black tea, and with it, pretty standard black tea latte flavor. This black tea was slightly herbal-y, so I’m predicting it’s a ceylon, maybe? I kind of forget the other Macu drinks, but this time the drink had a ton of boba. It was very chewy, on the soft chewy side, and usual boba flavor.
Oh, the guy accidentally made my sister’s Jasmine latte without milk. So we got a free Jasmine tea out of the experience.
