Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea – Sunright Tea Studio

On December 18th, my sister and I went to Sunright to get boba! We were mentally (and physically on my blog) going through boba shops to go back to, and since Sunright is pretty high up on my personal list and we haven’t been back in a while, to go~

At this point, I’ve tried out most of Sunright’s milk tea menu, but I noticed they added a new tea series: the Tie Guan Yin! I wonder how recent of a release this was, because the online order categorized it as “new!”. When choosing my milk, I also saw that the description of the house milk is now condensed and evaporated milk with non dairy creamer. I could have sworn it used to be just 2% milk, and I checked a previous blog post, and sure enough, I wrote it was…

The drink was quite a roasty oolong tea flavor. I was expecting a lighter flavor in terms of tea, but I find that tieguanyin does tend to vary from shop to shop (guess you just have to try them all)! Texture was refreshing (with organic milk, not house milk), and I found the boba good, but large in comparison to other boba I’ve had recently.

Details: Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea; 25% Sugar; No ice; with organic milk; with honey boba; from Sunright Tea Studio (Irvine, Jeffrey)
