On December 13th, I arrived back home, starting my winter break from grad school! Actually, the first thing that I did after leaving the airport was go to Bako…at my family’s suggestion. I’m not saying no to a drink, and time to get my fill of boba before going back up to Monterey. I don’t think I had a proper lunch that day, so this was a good afternoon treat pre-dinner event later, ha!
It was a bit late in the afternoon, so I went for their hojicha, which is typically much lower in caffeine than most teas. I got their 25% sugar, and nowadays I’m trying to do the 25-30 range, whatever the shop offers.
Drink was good, and you can count on Bako for good quality drinks. Hojicha flavor was strong and creamy, and overall not too sweet. Boba was nicely chewy and sweet on its own.
