Green Grape Boom – HeyTea

On December 12th, my friends and I went out to dinner to celebrate the end of the semester! A little earlier, I was offered a drink from HeyTea from a friend who went to go get boba. With the lack of boba options around my school, I couldn’t say no…

The menu I originally saw had a seasonal drink of guava grape. I like both, and I don’t usually see these together, so I figured it’d be yummy. I guess they were either out or this drink was out of season, so my friend got me the Green Grape Boom instead. The drink is supposed to be fresh peeled seedless green grape blended with jasmine tea in a slushy form. That’s totally ok with me, we <3 friends that <3 boba. Big shoutout to her for the delivery and my other friend for letting me know in the first place!

I didn’t expect it to be a slushy when I opted for the guava version until I saw the menu listing later. Despite a significant delay between ordering the drink and actually receiving it, I think it was the perfect texture. It was liquid-y, but still had some leftover slushy bits. The drink had a generally natural sweetness and grape-y flavor, and overall, was good. Boba was a nice chewy texture, and not too sweet. Still not a huge fan of the pricing, but I suppose once in a while people deserve a treat. 🙂
