Liquid Gold – Teaspoon

On August 25th, I started graduate school! My parents and I drove up from Southern California in the morning and arrived in Northern California around late afternoon the day before so I could move in. While I was doing orientation things during the day, my parents spent the day in San Jose, mostly getting food and Asian grocery shopping for me! When they met up with me later, they brought me boba! There’s really no good boba around where I am, so I will always apreciate a San Jose boba.

They stopped by Teaspoon, which usually has good drinks. I opted for the Liquid Gold on their signature menu. It’s a honey oolong tea topped with cream, and I added boba and my usual adjustments.

With the caveat I did have it about an hour it was made, the drink was good, and had a nice light, fragrant oolong flavor to it. The consistency of the drink was slightly watery, which I would expect with milk, but the description says they use cream for this drink. Boba was good, decently chewy and flavorful.
