High Mountain Pouchong Tea – Chi Cha San Chen

On August 23rd, I helped my sister move in to her second year of college! We drove up to LA, unloaded the first load of stuff, and helped her settle in to her dorm. Meanwhile, my dad went back home for a second load of stuff, and on the way, brought back boba we ordered from Chi Cha San Chen! There’s always a long wait for it, so we ordered well in advance, and he arrived just as our drinks were ready.

All of their teas are award-winning, but this time I decided to go for the high mountain pouchong tea. I have no clue about the differences between most teas, but it certainly sounds high quality, and in the oolong family, so I’m expecting some more fragrant notes. I added milk to make it a latte, and boba.

Drink was good (well, it better be for the price)! I did get light sugar, and the drink was not very sweet. There was a very floral taste to it, and overall was light drink and easily refreshing. Boba was nice and chewy and just a bit sweet.
