On August 20th, I went to Costco with my dad in the morning, and then out with my sister to get boba at Wushiland in the afternoon! Wushiland is close, and we ordered on my mom’s mobile order app so we just walked in, grabbed our drinks, and left.
One of Wushiland’s more interesting choices is the addition of ice cream in drinks, also popular with the original 50Lan chain in Taiwan. I’ve always avoided the idea of adding extra ice cream to my milk tea drinks, but then I had an idea…getting more creative with my Wushiland orders, I decided to order a plain tea that came with ice cream instead. That way, the ice cream acts as extra sweetner and the milk factor of the milk tea. I got less sugar added, and of course, boba!
I really liked the combination! Of course, I like vanilla ice cream and jasmine tea on their own, so the combination is a no brainer. There was a really nice creaminess and sweetness, and additional vanilla flavoring, from the ice cream that made it into a new take on milk tea. The jasmine tea was fragrant, and lots of boba as usual.
