Tapioca Peach Milk (タピオカピーチミルク) – Crêpes de Anne

On July 31st, I landed back in Nagoya from Morioka! After a brief trip to Morioka, I flew back to Nagoya because it’d be more efficient to go to my next destination from there: Numazu, Shizuoka! Because I had some time before my train to Shizuoka, I got a lunch and stopped by Crepes de Anne. I was mostly here for the cute, viral crepe, but I couldn’t help notice the boba on the menu…I figured I wouldn’t be getting boba in where I was heading, so I took the opportunity to get one.

They had a variety of drinks that paired with boba on their menu, including teas, milk teas, fruity drinks, and a milk menu. Because it’s peach season, I opted for the peach milk. Plus, I wasn’t sure if their milk teas were lattes or not, and the milk menu was the best way to ensure the drink would have real milk.

The drink was quite peachy, though I’m sure most, if not all of it, was artificial peach flavor. It was indeed a peach milk, and if you don’t have high expectations, it’s a nice drink. The boba was, well, soft. I didn’t expect it to be boba shop quality, but it was a good midday pick-me-up drink.

Oh, and for anyone wondering about the crepe: it’s a good crepe, with (a ton of ) good whipped cream. As a crepe, it’s ok, as the fillings and flavor are a bit lacking, but is worth getting once for the picture in my opnion.
