Yesterday I came back from Tokyo! My dad and I met up with my cousin again for lunch, and my cousin’s restaurant pick just happened to be across the street from Truedan. A perfect post-lunch pre-flight drink! One last boba while I’m in Tokyo this trip. This indeed was yesterday’s drink, so apologies for the late post!
I tried the tieguanyin oolong the other day, so I figured this time I’d go with a classic black milk tea. They actually offer two: assam, and earl grey. I tend to like assam better, so I went with that one. Went with my usual adjustments, and added boba as usual!
The drink was really good! Like my Friday drink, the tea flavor was strong, with just the perfect amount of sweetness to complement it. The drink was milky, with a strong, classic black milk tea flavor. Boba was chewy and sweet, with pearls just the right size.
Details: Assam Black Milk Tea; large; light sugar; brown sugar boba; no ice; from Truedan (Ginza)
