Bobo – Chakaa

Chakaa quickly grew to be one of my go-tos while I was in college in San Diego. The vibes were cool, drinks were consistently good, and there was a variety on the menu to chosoe from. The location was also really good, on the middle of Convoy street, and easily accessible from the good food spots.

What was intersting was they called their boba “bobo”. Probably to be cute and unique, but it is just normal black boba. I usually opted for their milk teas, but their plain teas were pretty good too. Service was nice too.

Chain? Yes. I’ve only been to the San Diego location.

Drinks Tried: Moosen Matcha Latte, Oolong Milk Tea, Jasmine Milk Tea, Ruby Milk Tea, Japanese Gyokuro Sencha, Thai Tea Latte, Ceylon Milk Tea, White Peach Oolong,

Boba: Boba, or bobo, was good, bouncy, tasted good, and pretty consistent.

Price: Pretty decent for a boba drink.

Size: One normal size, though some drinks I think come in only small.

Interior: Cute vibes, with some seats.

Wait: Almost no wait whenever I’ve gone.

Sell Food? If I remember correctly they had cakes at one point?

Reward System? Don’t remember.
