Today’s my first full day in Fukuoka! Today I did some casual sightseeing around the main Fukuoka city area, including Ohori Park, Fukuoka Tower, and then caught the finale of the Dontaku Festival. My lunch was right next to a boba place that looked promising. The boba scene in Fukuoka is very strong (at least, from Google Maps). Hokkaido, step it up.
I was debating between the oolong or jasmine, but the premium label sold it for me. The menu doesn’t say it, but sugar and ice are adjustable. Topping is included in the price!
The drink ended up being a roasty oolong. Light, a little watery in texture, but the tea flavor was strong. Almost like a cross between a roasted oolong and a hojicha. Boba was chewy, with some flavor.
The holder was super cute! They also sell Taiwanese food, which looks good, but who knows.
