Oiio Cafe doesn’t actually have a website, so the link goes to their Facebook page. I’m still a little confused by the shop’s name, but at least the first time when I ordered I said “oyo” and everything seemed fine with the cashier. This place was definitely such a great find for a day when I was casually on Yelp. I only had a drink (maybe 1.2 if you count the sips I had from my parents’) but if I’m ever in the area I’ll definitely go back for more. I say this because I’m not sure if I’d be willing to actually drive over there solely for the shop because the parking situation is wild; there’s no actual parking lot other than finding a Free Parking a little away.
Aside from that, the actual drinks have a nice flavor to them, and the boba they give are certainly unique! Their menu may look quite big, but a good third is coffee drinks (I don’t drink coffee) and the other third is hot brewed tea. I mean, I’ve been into tea lately, but the actual “drink” selection is relatively small, so I guess this means less for me to try and choose from and more to enjoy! This is also the first place that I’ve encountered that their boba straw is bendy. I don’t know if other places do this too, but Oiio has certainly left an impression on me for the boba and the straw.
Chain? No.
Drinks Tried: Ollo Milk Tea, A little bit of the Thai Milk Tea (very caramel-ly, good drink but not very Thai tea), A little of the House Milk Tea (same as the Oiio Milk Tea but Oiio uses brown sugar), Chapman Milk Tea
Boba: They offer Honey boba and crystal boba. Their honey boba is really interesting because it’s a combination of both small and regular boba. Most places will separate their small boba and regular boba, but here they’re mixed together. The bigger boba is a little on the small side, so maybe it’s just varying sizes of small boba? The boba itself was very good, chewy and sweet, and they give a good amount.
Price: The price was reasonable for the milk tea I got, but I saw that some of their smoothies go up to $6!
Size: No size differences here I think. [I haven’t been in a while, and it looks like in some recent pictures there’s sizes now.]
Interior: Interior was very nice, minimalistic, and spacious, though when I went all the chairs were put up because of the COVID precautions. Seems like they would regularly have a good amount of seating though, and the couch looked very comfy.
Wait: I went when there weren’t anyone else there, so there was practically no wait for my order!
Sell Food? I guess. I saw macarons in a mini fridge. Supposedly they all sell shaved ice and taiyaki.
Reward System? I think they use Fivestars.
