Gardenia Four Season Tea – Playground by Playmade

Today’s my last full day in Singapore! Today was a chill eating day, and exploring Little India and the Suntec Mall. This mall has a ton of boba options, and after going around and comparing them, I settled on Playground, a branch of the widespread Playmade chain which offers food in addition to boba drinks.

Here, they make custom flavored boba! So does another chain here (with a different flavor every day!), but Playground has an edge for me with a limited time peach boba and their award winning gardenia four session tea.

The drink tastes exactly like the gardenia from Jam Jam (that’s good). I’ve also never seen gardenia aside from these two places, which means an easy drink decision. The tea had a refreshing, light oolong taste to it, with just a slight astringent aftertaste. The peach boba was good! It tasted like eating a peach gummy, though it was a bit hard chewy at times.

I also picked up a drink for tomorrow morning at the local Amps. I got the Da Hong Pao from their premium pure teas selection. Update: it’s a really good tea! It tastes like a quality, aromatic red tea. I want to say black since that’s what it is in English, but this gives more red tea vibes than black tea vibes.

Originally I wanted to grab a tea from this one chain as my morning caffeine boost, but every location close to my hotel is app-only order. That sucked, and I eventually gave up.
