Today’s my first full day in Singapore! I spent the day eating, doing some window shopping, exploring the city, and visiting the Botanical Gardens. I had scouted out the boba scene around Orchard Road earlier, and decided on getting a drink from At Tea (below) as a thirst quencher, and a “real” boba drink from The Whale Tea.
There was a ton of interesting stuff on this menu, from pistachio drinks, to fermented rice (and an actual alcohol bottle?) to wheat, but I stuck with something on their normal menu, their Dong Ding series. I guess this tea won an award, the same taste one that Chi Cha won. It also already comes with honey boba in the drink. Unfortunately, no ice adjustments or size options. Only normal or less sugar.
I really liked the drink! It was truly less sweet and very tea forward, while having the taste of a milk tea. The tea did taste like an elevated, premium oolong, and was super refreshing. Boba was nicely chewy, and had a honey flavor to it.

Here’s the At Tea drink. They had a chrysanthemum and osmanthus combination I had never seen before. I like both of these in isolation, and a double flower combination sounded interesting! Again, pure tea just for refresher purposes, although the drink does come with some honey. And real chrysanthemum flowers!
The drink is super yummy, though honestly tastes like a sweet chrysanthemum drink. As a drink, that’s not bad, but as a chrysanthemum AND Osmanthus drink, it’s a bit of a let down. From experience Osmanthus is more of a subtle flavor so I get it, but still a bit disappointing. Or maybe I can’t tell Osmanthus flavor confidently.
There was a discount for brining your own carrier/ no bag and getting no sugar! There would also be a discount for membership, but I am no member. I notice that a lot for boba around here.
