Hyuganatsu Milk Tea (日向夏 和紅茶ミルクティー) – Gong Cha

I’m heading to Singapore today! My flight isn’t until the late afternoon, so I got lunch and boba in Sapporo before heading to the airport. Gong Cha just released their new seasonal line as of 3/27, which is perfect timing to try it out!

There’s a new seasonal drink and tea! I’m going with the milk tea form of the seasonal tea today because this way, I can free upsize my drink, and then get a free topping coupon from the receipt which I can use next time I go, ha! This is a Japanese tea, hailing from the base of Mt. Fuji. It’s a tea grown in Fujimiya, Shizuoka, with a fresh aroma, and sweet and sour taste. The promotional pictures showed it with lemons, so I’m expecting lemony notes.

The drink is quite good, and flavorful even though I ordered no sugar! It’s light and refreshing, while the vague citrus flavor does complement the milkiness of the drink. Boba is not bad, pretty chewy.

Details: Hyuganatsu Milk Tea; large; no sugar; less ice; pearl; from Gong Cha (Sapporo Akarenga Terrace)
