Yesterday my boyfriend came back to stay with me for a while! On the way from the airport, he stopped by Sapporo for food, and picked up boba for me!
The new Gong Cha seasonal doesn’t start until today. This means yesterday they were still offering stuff I wasn’t super interested in, or just the regular menu. I decided on a bit of a wild card, their chocolate milk. I figured by the time I got the drink, it’d be pretty late, so I tried avoiding anything with tea. It is a pretty basic item, but aside from the brown sugar milk tea options, it’s one of the milky options left I technically haven’t tried yet. As you would expect, it is a cocoa powder drink.
It tastes also as you would expect, like a cocoa powder-milky drink. It’s kind of like an iced chocolate in a way, but the cocoa powder was rich in flavor. Not super sweet like a basic hot chocolate, but like you went to a fancy hot chocolate place and they served you something that emphasized the chocolate. Boba was ok, a bit stiff, but that’s what I get for a late boba drink.
