Today my family and I went to Miyajima to see the famous torii gates in the middle of the ocean. We finished up our plans early, and got dinner in the main city. Of course, since we were nearby boba, we went back since we liked our drinks yesterday!
I wanted to get their Jasmine today, but maybe because we arrived 30 minutes before closing, they had sold out of it. I considered getting a matcha, but went with their house milk tea. The menu says they use “Riyuetan” black tea, which is supposedly a Taiwanese black tea from Tainan. According to my mom, it’s Taiwan’s most famous black tea. No shiratama today, just 2 normal boba helpings because that was sold out too.
The drink is really good! The milk tea is a classic black milk tea, and it really took me back to Taiwan. It really tasted like Taiwan! Boba is good, but it’s a little hard, and could use a bit more stewing.
