Junbi relaatively new shop to the scene offering boba, but I think they’ve been in LA doing matcha for a bit now. It’s a cafe that specializes in matcha, but they also have an array of milk teas, fruit teas, coffees, smoothies, and soft serve and onigiri. Their menu is super cool! I’ve only tried their matcha drinks (because that’s their main selling point), and there’s a ton of flavors. Everything sounds yummy, and though I should go more often, I’ve never had a miss. My mom tends to go for their milk teas, and she says they’re not bad. They have the basic options, like Assam, Jasmine, and Oolong, among others.
The other day I got a promotional email that said they were doing a Miffy collab! That sounds pretty cool, and it seems like they hold matcha workshops. They also sell matcha powder, and merchandise like the usual bowls and whisks to start your matcha journey.
Chain? Yes. I’ve been to the LA and Irvine locations.
Drinks Tried: Matcha, Guava Matcha Latte, Cold Lavender Honey Matcha Latte, Cold Mango Matcha Latte
Price: The price is pretty average for a boba or fancy cafe drink. Not inexpensive, but not outrageously expensive either.
Boba: Boba is yummy and chewy. Very satisfying, but doesn’t especially stand out (not in a bad way!).
Size: One tall, slim plastic size only.
Interior: The interior is cute, and a very pretty pastel aesthetic. The locations I’ve been to have a good amount of seating.
Wait: Never a wait whenever I go. You can even order on the tablet, and your drinks will be out in no time.
Sell Food? Yes. They have matcha soft serve with various toppings and savory onigiri. The onigiri are pretty good!
Reward System? Yes, with ToastTab.
