This morning my sister went out to a lunch, and she came back offering 7 Leaves. Obviously I’m saying yes, so thanks to her for the drink opportunity.
Browsing the secret menu and then going back to the main tea menu, I realized 7 Leaves put a new matcha drink on their normal menu: a matcha latte. I swear this was never here before, as the only matcha was the Japanese matcha or the soy matcha. Speaking of, I always found it weird they had a soy milk matcha but never a normal milk one. I have a weird opinion on 7 Leaves’ matcha, but hopefully the matcha latte is ok. For some reason it doesn’t have a no ice or sweetener option.
The drink is a pretty good matcha latte. It’s creamy, and rich like all their other milk teas. It’s also decently sweet, evidenced by a lack of sugar customization. Matcha is pretty apparent. Makes me think if the matcha and sugar are a premix though? Boba was good, chewy and sweet.
