Yesterday I spent the day in San Francisco to hang out with my boyfriend for our 5th anniversary together! Thanks to my dad for driving! We got pho for lunch, and then headed down the street for boba. I think TJ has changed a little since I was last here. There’s a kiosk now!
TJ is doing a buy one get one half off campaign for a limited selection of drinks. I decided to get the Thai off the menu, and my boyfriend also got one from the deal selection. It seems like all of their milk teas are made with creamer, but they have non dairy milk options. Not sure if they offer real milk? Anyway, the Thai comes with half and half and shaved ice. Sugar and ice are not adjustable.
The drink was very good. Very good, rich creamy Thai, but otherwise standard Thai Tea tasting. I’m not sure why the store opted for shaved ice bits as opposed to normal ice. Boba was nicely chewy, a bit soft, but pretty good tasting.
