Today was my full day in Furano! I say that, but I basically spent half the day in Biei, the town over. I finished most of my sightseeing things earlier in the day, and was just doing some casual local exploring, and I had this bakery in mind to go check out. I really was just going to check out the sweets, but little did I know…they had boba on the menu! I really didn’t think I’d find boba in Furano, but here it is, in this pastry shop/gelateria.
They had some basic options, but the flavor I had to get? Lavender obviously, because we are in Furano, and where else do you see lavender boba?
It was really good, especially for a non boba specialty shop. The drink itself wasn’t too sweet, which took a bit of adjusting since it was a hit of lavender flavor right away. Otherwise, it blended well with the light, milky drink. The boba was not bad, slightly chewy, a bit soft, lopsided, but pretty good for a random find!
