Today’s the last full day in Sendai before we head home tomorrow! Today was just a chill day, getting in our last minute local foods and souvenir shopping. Of course, I needed to get boba today! Originally, our lunch place was near the Kouchousan I went yesterday, but when we arrived when they were supposed to be open, they were closed. Unfortunate since I really liked what they had yesterday, but nothing I could do it about it. My next choice (well really only other choice), is the Bull Pulu I went to last year. They did change their location in the station, but we eventually found it. Thank goodness it didn’t close.
I wanted a milk tea, but there weren’t too many legit tea options, so I went with the Tieguanyin since it’s a bit of a rarer flavor to get right. Hopes are high, I think I liked them last year.
Overall, it’s no Tieguanyin, but it’s definitely a good oolong. The flavor is a bit roasty, strong tea flavor, and the consistency is just the right amount of creaminess. Boba is sweet and perfectly chewy.
