I’m heading back home to Hokkaido from my Taiwan trip! With plenty of time at the airport this time around, it meant I had plenty of time to get boba. Last time I got Chun Sui Tang, but I found out that a place I wanted to go for the boba wheel cake also had a branch in the airport! I made it my priority to go and find the airport Mazu Village, and I didn’t have to go during my stay in Taipei.
They had a quite extensive menu, including a big array of fruity tea drinks, and an airport exclusive mango peach oolong that my boyfriend got. None of these had milk variations, so I glossed over it in favor of the milk section, which had plain milk, milk tea, and a taro series. I went with the brown sugar milk tea that had boba. It says milk tea, but it’s made with fresh milk.
The drink, even though basic, is really good! It’s creamy but still has a really good balance of milkiness and complex tea flavor. Boba is super ideal chewy texture, and just a bit sweet.

Oh hey, I also got their Boba Custard Wheel Pie. That was also really good, with a soft pastry on the outside, and a hot, fresh filling on the inside of gooey, custard and a bunch of hot, chewy boba pearls.
