Brown Sugar Milk Tea with BoBa – Mian

Today my family and I went to Universal Studios to check out the new Super Mario World! It was a lot of fun, but also lots of people, to no one’s surprised…my family wanted to end the day getting food from Din Tai Fung, but also to no one’s surprise, dine in was full and takeout might have taken a while. It was 8pm, and we were hungry, so we ventured downstairs to check out the options. The new Sichuan noodle restaurant attracted my parents, so we ended up eating at Mian…and they had some boba options!

The drink selection is composed of a brown sugar milk tea, a taro milk tea, a red bean milk tea, and all those added with boba. A milk tea is a bit late at this time of day, but who needs sleep?

The drink was ok, tasting like a pretty basic milk tea. Tea flavor was definitely there, but a bit watery. Also because sweetness couldn’t be adjusted, it was quite sweet at the beginning, but I suppose as the ice melted it might have balanced out a bit more. Boba was fine, as it definitely was chewy, but has a certain texture to it…in between normal boba and the weird boba in canned “boba” drinks.

Yes, I typed BoBa, and no, it’s not my typo. It’s the restaurant’s menu. The other two boba options were fine, but for some reason the normal milk tea had a Ba.
