Today was a chill date out with my wife friend! We started out getting lunch at Ever After Tearoom, a new place in town I found on Yelp that also offered food in addition to boba, and then hung out at her place for the rest of the day.
Their Magnificent Phoenix Oolong Milk Tea sounded interesting, but I ultimately went with their Osmanthus 4 Season Milk Tea because I missed the osmanthus flavor. The rest of their menu was more of the typical boba shop stuff, so I wanted something more unique while I was there. Accoding to the online menu, the drink is supposed to have osmanthus honey, and phoenix milk tea. It’s a little odd, since they have a separate 4 season milk tea, but either the description is wrong, or whoever named it didn’t know what they were doing.
Anyway, as for the drink itself, I actually really liked it. The osmanthus floralness really shone through, along with a good tea flavor. It was also a perfect nice, slightly creamy, texture. Boba was good, being a little sweet by itself and nicely chewy.
My mom actually got the Magnificent Phoenix Oolong Milk Tea, and she said it was just ok, with it tasting watered down. As for the food, it was fine, nothing too special to write about, but the menu had a ton of variety of Asian Fusion and was very health-centered if that’s your thing. Their shaved ice looks good though!
