Happy Japanese and American Thanksgiving! Today I went to Otaru with my boyfriend because he’ll be leaving soon to go home, and he wanted to buy some souvenirs to take home. Coincidentally, a friend from college is visiting Otaru, and I gave him a basic tour around the main places to go. Mister Donut is my go-to for boba in Otaru, and right now they’re doing a Pokémon donut campaign which we were interested in originally.
We left a bit earlier than we planned, which means I all for getting the milk tea over the brown sugar milk!
Today is very good! I think it’s a bit less sweet than the other times I’ve gotten it, which is a good thing, since usually it’s pretty sweet. The tea flavor is decently strong, and the boba is nicely chewy.

you can always tell the sales clerk, amasa hikaeme ni onegai shimasu. So they won’t put gum syrup in it. The sweetness will be just right.
Yeah, I did that the first time! The other times I’ve ordered it I forgot I could do it at a non-boba shop haha
