Today’s the last day of my three day weekend in Sapporo, and with nothing much else to do after getting lunch, I’m getting my boba and hopping on an earlier bus home. I’m back at The Tea, for a change, because I haven’t been back in a while, and because they sell some Taiwanese savory snack foods that I figured would work great to take and eat at home.
Now the past couple of times, their tieguanyin and their Sanrishi oolong tasted the same. Today I’m trying their chincha tea, supposedly another Taiwan tea, and hopefully it will taste different…I’m sad to say I have low expectations for this one after my first two experiences, but I’m determined to give them hope
With my first sip, I realized that, wait this tea is actually different (at least in my memory because I don’t have a side by side right now), and it’s like a light oolong, but the flavor is deeper than a generic green tea and creamer that I associate with the other two. I actually really like the flavor of this one. This one is by best of the three I’ve tried from them so far, and I was delighted that it was actually different. Boba is nice, doesn’t need to add sweetness but the chew is perfect.
