My boyfriend spent Halloween night in Sapporo, and came back today, bringing boba back with him! He told me he was going to The Alley, and asked me if I wanted anything. Of course, I took him up on his offer…
Now that I look back, I guess the first time I got the “jasmine” from the Alley was when he brought it back for me too. Anyway, I opted for the jasmine because I thought a normal milk tea would survive transit the best after a couple hours, and since I knew I would be drinking it later, I also thought it would have less caffeine as a green tea.
I think it tasted about the same as the first time. Pretty green tea tasting, with a nice slightly creamy texture. Definitely not a jasmine, which is false English advertising, but a good green tea. Boba is slightly hard, but can only blame that on time and not on anyone else. It made a good after work snack!
Details: Jasmine Milk Tea; large; boba; less sugar; no ice; from The Alley (Sapporo Daimaru)
