I’m in Tokyo with my family! Today we’re in Ginza to do some last minute Tokyo shopping for my mom, as it’s our last full day in Tokyo. Before they came, I remember my mom saying she didn’t want any boba in Japan, but here we are…it’s also super hot, so a refreshing drink hits different.
The milk tea selection at this one isn’t as varied or “exotic” as the Taiwan location I went to, but I found they had jasmine. I hope it’s just the Sapporo Jasmines that I can’t trust, and I was willing to try it here, since Truedan is a reputable chain. Plus, it was the most appealing milk tea option from the limited ones they had.
Oh my goodness, upon first sip this is the best Jasmine I’ve had in Japan so far. It tastes so fragrant, and more importantly, accurate and has actually has Jasmine flavor to it. Sapporo boba could never…the boba is also very heavy on the brown sugar flavor, and nicely chewy. They’re also slightly smaller than normal boba, but still a good chew size.
Details: Jasmine Milk Tea; large; light sugar; brown sugar boba; no ice; from Truedan (Ginza)
