I’m at the Airport! Time to go home to Japan…I managed to find a Chun Sui Tang at the airport, and when you see CST, you know there’s gotta be boba. Is it ironic or fitting that my last boba in Taiwan has to be from the place that claims to have originated boba milk tea?
They have a few milk tea options on the menu, but I went for the fresh milk section, and from there, decided on the tieguanyin. It’ll probably be a while until I get a good tieguanyin again, and plus, it’s more unique than a standard black milk tea.
Before I talk about the drink, can I mention how incredibly large my drink is? I’m not sure if you can tell by the picture, but this cup is larger than their normal one, and I thought they only had one size. When the lady was making it, she has to put tape on the top which was a little concerning, but I didn’t think it was mine. I guess I didn’t hear them call out my number, and I only went up when they called the number after mine and there was a single cup left on the counter. It didn’t fit in the drink holder that I bought in Taiwan…
It’s a very nice, slightly creamy, and refreshing drink! You get the slight oolong-y tea-need from the tieguanyin tea, and it definitely hits the spot after sweating a bunch from running around the airport with baggage and not finding my gate. What’s interesting is their boba is on the smaller side. Not quite small boba, but not regular size either.
Details: Tieguanyin Latte; boba; half sugar; no ice; from Chun Sui Tang (Taoyuan Airport)
