I’m back from Korea! We landed in Sapporo in the afternoon, and after checking into our hotel, we got dinner and did some more merchandise collecting. After that, we went back to Shin An Ju for boba!
Today I’m trying the other interestingly named black milk tea because it sounds unique, but perhaps I finally try their tieguanyin the next time? Apparently after some internet sleuthing, the “uba” is a type of black tea from the Uva state of Sri Lanka, supposedly similar to ceylon. My boyfriend got the blue lagoon, their color changing drink, but also a carbonated ramune flavored one.
Upon first sip, it is essentially a ceylon milk tea, ha! And a pretty good one at that. I don’t know how it’ll taste with full sugar, but this was perfectly balanced, with the herbal-y ness of the tea, to the sweetness of the boba. Solid drink, with real tea and real milk. Boba again, is very good, even on a cold day!
