Today I got lunch with my boyfriend and a friend of his, and then headed to an arcade to hang out before they go do work stuff. We got food at a pho place I like, and Orobae is right next door. Thankfully, we got there early enough that there was no line, and we barely had to wait for Orobae. What a rarity.
The Metal Buddha is a new one to me, as it wasn’t on the menu when I first started going to Orobae. I wanted a milk tea, and decided to try that.
The drink is quite good and has an interesting flavor. I’d say it’s somewhere in the middle between roasted oolong and a normal(?) oolong on the Oolong spectrum. The tea flavor stands out, and the creaminess just helps it texture-wise. Actually, while normally Orobae’s boba is just ok, their boba today is pretty good! Super chewy, a little soft and has a good boba flavor to it.
So today was super hot, and I debated getting less ice to get a cold drink, but I still wanted to maximize drink so I decided on not getting ice. We went to the arcade but since they didn’t allow outside drinks, I left my drink in the car. When I got home, I put some of my own ice to cool the drink down, and worked out very nicely!
