Today I finished two of my finals, and I guess all my main finals are done. Technically, I have a short final-y thing to do on Friday, but in the grand scheme of things, shouldn’t really matter too much. I really do need to study for that though, but other than that, I’m chilling until graduation this weekend! My friends decided to do takeout today, and since I was busy until 6, they took my dinner and boba order and brought it home.
My friend asked for my Chakaa order, and as I was looking at the menu, I decided to try out the last of the Milk Teas: Ceylon! I’m a lot more familiar with seeing Ruby as a black tea on menus, with the exception of Sunright which uses Ceylon as their black tea. Hopefully Chakaa’s is good!
The drink is nice! It has a rich black tea flavor to it, and tastes kind of like the black tea that Wushiland uses. I guess for whatever reason I associated both this and Ruby with a “classic” black tea flavor whenever I taste both, even though they’re pretty different from each other too. I feel like a Ruby is just richer? The Ceylon is on the slightly more black tea herbal side? Not too sure unless I have them side by side, but overall, nice milk tea drink. Boba is pretty good, chewy, and sweet tasting. I also feel like they gave quite a bit today!

A well deserved drink! 🙂
May I request that you elaborate on that? Your posts have been extremely helpful to me. Thank you!
Chakaa is (as far as I know) an independent boba shop in San Diego! This is their ceylon milk tea, which is a type of black tea.
Thank you for your post. I really enjoyed reading it, especially because it addressed my issue. It helped me a lot and I hope it will also help others.
Thank you!
