Classic Milk Tea (black tea) – Feng Cha

Today my friend wanted to go on a mini grocery run, so we decided to get a something quick take out nearby, and then boba can be whatever. We like Feng Cha in this household, so back to Feng Cha we go.

As tempting as the Dragonfruit drink is with the “seasonal” label too, today’s a good day to round out the last of the classic milk teas, the og, black tea. Feeling a bit tired this time in the evening, and black tea sounds like a good drink to keep me awake for tonight.

The drink is nice, and very classic tasting indeed. The black tea they use is similar to what I think is labeled Ruby elsewhere. It has a nice creamy texture and flavor despite knowing they put water in this drink too. I guess all that matters is that the end product tasted good. The drink itself did come out kind of lukewarm because I think their tea was room temperature. Boba is really good, soft and chewy and sweet.

Details: Classic Milk Tea; black tea; half sugar; no ice; with boba; from Feng Cha (San Diego)
