Happy National Boba Day! Today both of my friends had their boyfriends over, so we went on a 2.5 date. We went to eat Korean food, and then went to Chakaa. Actually, it was predetermined because yesterday both my friends absolutely loved their drinks and wanted to come back today. I really like Chakaa too, so I’m always down. So here we are.
I am always going to get a milky drink, so I was browsing what to get on menu. I wasn’t really feeling any of the non caffeinated drinks, though I may opt for them sometime in the future…perhaps. Then it was between the the Thai and some milk tea, but I wasn’t really feeling Thai either today, and could still use a regular milk tea, so I opted for the Ruby. Hopefully the black tea won’t keep me up too late, but we are watching a movie tonight…
The drink is pretty good! Though I will say it’s not as groundbreaking as yesterday’s jasmine. It tastes like a pretty classic milk tea, and I guess similar to Omomo’s Ruby, though not as creamy, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I like a good balance between not too creamy and not watery, and Chakaa’s a good example of that. Anyway, boba’s also great again today.
