Classic Milk Tea (oolong tea) – Feng Cha

For dinner today, one friend requested we go get tacos from our new go to place, and my other friend wanted to go back to Feng Cha because she really liked her drink from the other day. I also think Feng Cha is great, so I’m down for both!

As always with me, I like getting milk teas, and today I was feeling a little tired anyway from getting a little less sleep last night, so I think getting a milk tea also works out. Plus, I want to try their oolong, so all good. I will say that the other day when I looked at the menu the dragon fruit drink sounded really good, but I still want a milk tea. Perhaps a different day.

Other than the drink coming out lukewarm (usually no ice drinks at least come cold…) it’s really good and satisfying! The oolong has a lighter flavor and more on the milk-y flavor heavy side, but I really like the flavor of the oolong they use in this one. I guess if I had to try to describe it it’s kind of a mid-oolong, but I also appreciate the flavor being too tea flavor or bitter. Boba is great as always, very bouncy and chewy, and just a bit sweet.

Details: Classic Milk Tea; oolong tea; half sugar; no ice; with boba; from Feng Cha (San Diego)
