Today one of my friends was craving Camellia, specifically a new drink she tried out last time, and specifically requested to go to Camellia today. This works out great, because we did miss out on my Camellia request when they were closed last Friday, so I do get my request too eventually, heh!
After last time considering getting the Genmaicha, I figured today would be a good day to try out their Genmaicha, since not too many places offer it too. Usually it’s also lighter on the caffeine, making it a good late night drink as well.
The drink is pretty refreshing, and has a very strong roasted rice taste. I don’t think I’ve had their genmaicha before, but when I drink it, I low key feel like I’ve had…anyway, their description says it has some green tea and roasted rice in it, but I can really only taste the very strong and fragrant roasted rice flavor of the tea. Not that it’s a bad thing, and it’s nice that their tea flavor is very apparent. The milk helps to nicely balance it out too. Boba is great as always, good texture and flavor to it.
