Boba Milk Tea – Happy Lemon

Yesterday I went out to karaoke with my club and long story short, we ended up getting korean food for dinner. Since Happy Lemon closes super late, and it was next door, it was basically the best and most convenient option since it was pretty late already by the time we went to get boba. And I’m still not saying no to boba…

By the time we finished dinner it was slightly past 10, so I was most definitely not getting a tea drink, which was unfortunate because I was planning on getting a milk tea the next time I went to happy lemon…then as we were waiting it was getting pretty late so I decided to just get a milk tea, but save it for today. Yes I did get boba, but I just let it sit outside instead of digging in the drink to remicrowave my boba. Plus, today’s slightly chilly so I don’t need a super cold drink and letting it sit will let it warm up, and it makes a great, post-workout and pre-work snack, right?

The drink itself tastes like a very classic milk tea, sort of like a basic milk tea you’d get when you walk into a generic boba shop. It doesn’t necessarily mean the drink tastes generic, but just has a classic flavor. The tea flavor itself isn’t weak but not super strong either, just a basic milk tea flavor. Boba after letting it sit for a few hours, is super soft, not chewy, but for set out boba from the day before, it’s not bad.
